Barbara Leeds
Three hundred thirty thousand Americans dead
I decline invitations
Stay home
Alone
Boxes of cookies arrive unexpectedly
Allergic, I regift them
And again receive
This time real food
On Zoom
I learn my would-have-been hosts have Covid
I wasnt going to do Christmas
What do I need with presents?
My self-preservation instincts strong
My sisters tumor benign
Vaccinesand a new presidenton their way
