School Programs

Barbara Leeds, children’s author, visits schools to share the joy of language. Barbara is the author of Fairy Tale Rap: “Jack and the Beanstalk” and Other Stories and Fairy Tale Rap No. 2: “The Fisherman and His Wife” and Other Stories.

Semi-interactive Workshop	Dramatic Reading
30-45 minutes Up to 90 students Grades 2-6 Students learn about research, writing, and revision. They go through the writing process, considering content and form. They participate in readers’ theater.	20-30 minutes Up to 90 students Grades 1-4 Students hear the author give dramatic interpretations of stories from Fairy Tale Rap and Fairy Tale Rap No. 2.
